illustrations for Farma naděje
I made the illustrations for the tin mugs for Farma naděje, a sanctuary that gives a home to farm animals rescued from unsuitable conditions. The illustrations were volunteer work in support of the farm’s activities.
For the illustrations I chose two of the farm’s animal residents: Růženka the pig and Jitka the cow. I worked up their portraits from photographs and tried to capture their particular appearance and characteristic features as faithfully as I could. The illustrations were built up gradually from tiny dots made with a fine black marker.
Besides the illustrations themselves, I also designed the final typographic form of the mugs, which complements the illustrations and ties the whole design together.
